ITALY Regions 6, 7 & 8 - Boss + Loot PREVIEWS

Zynga is trickling out more news about Mafia Wars Italy Regions 6, 7, and 8

Today there's information about the Bosses from each Region, and the reward for winning the Boss Fight at Bronze, Silver, Gold and Ruby levels.

Stats are very impressive.  I suspect fights will be tough, especially at the higher levels - so load up on the Warthog in the Private Zoo each day for +20 Health - you'll be glad you did.

So here is the cast of your future enemies, and the Loot you'll be picking up as you defeat them:

Region 6 - Calabria
BOSS:  Don Messino
Reward: Messino's Pistol
Bronze 115/85
Silver 135/96
Gold 155/107
Ruby 175/118

Region 7 - Citta del Vaticana
Boss:  Commandant Ebersold
Reward (Weapon)
Bronze 88/129
Silver 99/150
Gold 110/171
Ruby 121/192

Region 8 - The Eternal City
Boss - Don Rafael di Rossi
Reward (Armor)
Bronze 114/94
Silver 166/104

Mission Loot Finally Pays Off

I've been doing all of the Missions as they come up, just to pass the time while awaiting the arrival of Italy Regions 6, 7 & 8.

Missions are useful because completing them gives you enough extra XP to level up after using all of your Energy and Stamina.  I think of this as the "nerf offset."

Of course, sometimes it take a couple days to complete a Mission (unless you want to spend Reward Points), like when you have to buy two items from your Italy Port - something you can only do once a day.

The Mission Loot, to date, has been mostly items with stats in the high 50s.  This can be a nice addition to a newer player, but won't help you out if you've played for awhile.

But suddenly I found a Mission that not only gave a nice XP bump for leveling purposes, but also a piece of Mission Loot that actually made my top 501.  The job was "Burn Down Wong's Warehouse: Part 3."

The Fume Proof Mask, with its 69 Defense, was 5 points better than the Ottoman Krug, the highest scoring Fight Loot Armor, and currently my 501st defensive Armor piece.

The next few Mission had 50s-stats loot.  Then I came across this beauty in the "Install an Arm's Dealer, Part 3" Mission.  (If an "Arms' Dealer" sells weapons, what do you suppose an "Arm's Dealer" sells?  Human arms?? I know, this is 'Mafia Wars', not 'Grammar Wars')

The Harper 12, with its 71 Defense, gave me a 17-point upgrade in my Mafia Defense by replacing the top-dropping defense Weapon - the Range Finder Rifle.

NEW Italy Regions - Coming Soon!

We've been awaiting the release of Italy Regions 6, 7, and 8 for some time.  The picture above gives us hope that the wait is almost over...

Supposedly, the names for the 3 new regions are:

- Calabria

- Citta del Vaticano

- The Eternal City

200 Mystery Bags Per Hour! NEW Free Gift Group

A few weeks back, we introduced the Mafia Wars Free Gift Links Creators Group, a Facebook community page that allowed members to get dozens of Free Gifts a day from members of your Mafia (who were also members of the group) through the use of Tiny URL links and Link-a-Nator.

You could literally get over a hundred Mystery Bags, Armory Parts, special event items, or ANY Free Gift - EACH DAY - by joining the group, adding other group members to your Mafia, and posting and clicking on links.

The Free Gift Link Creators group skyrocketed from 500 to nearly 2,400 members during Christmas week.  Eventually, the Administrators stopped accepting new members.  This made sense: having that many Mafia Wars players in one group made it nearly impossible for some one to find his or her 50, 100, or 200 Mafia members' posts and links on the group's feed.

Fortunately, the Administrators have opened a sequel Facebook page: Mafia Wars Free Gift Link Creators 2.  I encourage those of you who did not get to join the original group to head there.

Mafia Wars Free Gift Link Creators 2 has just over 300 members as I post this.  Let's see if you all can push it over 1,000 this weekend!

NEW Italy Property: The Nightclub and the DJ

Last October, we featured a glimpse into the future of Italy Village properties, highlighting the Nightclub.  The assumption has been that the Nightclub will be available when Mafia Wars releases Italy Regions 6, 7, and 8.  New information from Zynga confirms that theory.

Each Italy Village property requires 4 parts in common (Italian Wood, Marble Slab, Terracotta Tiles, and Stone Columns) - plus a "unique part" - to upgrade.  For example, the Football Stadium required the Football Player, found in NAPOLI, while the Winery required you to stock up on Wine Barrels in PALERMO.

The unique part for the Nightclub will be the DJ.

This post will teach you - before the Nightclub even becomes available - on how to stock up on the DJ, that you'll need to move your Nightclub from Level I to Level X.  This trick has been floating around for a couple months, so credit goes to the many sites that have promoted it, and whoever created it.

The trick requires you to use the tool known as "Unframe-MW", that has been explained in prior posts on posting Operations and Free Gift Links.  For a primer on using "Unframe-MW", check out THIS POST or THIS POST.

Getting the DJ requires 3 easy steps:

1. Once in Mafia Wars, click on Unframe-MW (your screen will lose any white borders or headers and appear mostly black - but all of Mafia Wars' functionality remains).

2. Go to your Italy Village in the unframed version of Mafia Wars.

3. Copy the following text EXACTLY as written below, into your web browser, and press ENTER or GO as though you were trying to go to a website:

javascript:(function(){askForItemHelp(6,6,1,2609);})()

You should then see this screen come up - type a message into it and post it to your wall.

Hopefully, your Mafia will send you some DJs so you have some in advance when the Nightclub opens.  This chart from Zynga shows how many DJs you will need for each upgrade level of your Nightclub.

As with the other 5 Italy Village Properties, you'll need a total of 108 of the unique part - here, the DJ - to finish your Nightclub.  (You'll also need a slew of the 4 basic Italy upgrade parts - harder now that the Terracotta Tiles and Stone Column links work less frequently).

These photos show the four stages of the Nightclub while it is being developed from Level I through Level IX.  The property will improve in appearance at Levels III, V, VII, and IX.

Your completed, Level X Nightclub will look like this:

Admittedly, while this is a neat trick to "get ahead" by collecting DJs before the release of Italy Regions 6, 7, and 8, the unique Italy Village Property items were simple enough to get by doing the "Property Job" in each Italy Region.  But it's nice to get a head start anyway.

You can keep track of how many DJs you have by going to the Inventory tab, clicking Filter, and typing "DJ" - so far, I have 9 DJs.

More information about the DJ is available from clicking on the small square in your Inventory list, to bring up this window:

One tip: If you have requested an Italy Village Property item through the screen in your Italy Village saying "Ask Your Mafia to Send" in the 24 hours before trying this trick, it won't work.

Also, if you are not (i) in unframed mode and (ii) in your Italy Village when you copy the javascript into your browser and press Enter, this won't work.

But try it out and enjoy collecting the DJ in advance!

Bury the Mole

Bury the Mole is a Mafia Wars 3-tier collection challenge - you've seen them every time you log onto Facebook before with Hustlin' Wit Dre and Cake Jailbreak.

This is exactly the type of challenge that you can fly through by joining a group like Free Gift Link Creators or Free Gift Link Creators 2.

You should also use the Double Free Gift Trick described here to speed through this challenge.

But the challenge follows the familiar pattern, so I'm going to tell this story by pictures only...

Join Even MORE Operations Now!

We recently highlighted three Facebook groups featuring Operations with available spots, that allow you to click on a link and join an Operation, or post Operations that you have joined but that have incomplete spots.  (Sadly, one of the groups has since retired).

Today, I am proud to highlight - and recommend that you check out - a new Facebook Operations group, [MW] Operations Link Creators.

New group's logo
As the name suggests, this new group was created by the administrators who developed the popular Mafia Wars Free Gift Link Creators and - once that group quintupled in size in a week - the sequel, Mafia Wars Free Gift Link Creators 2 (hurry... this group went from 300 to 600+ members in the past 4 days)

The great thing about [MW] Operations Link Creators is that it CANNOT get too full or have too many members.  Instead, the hope is that thousands of Mafia Wars players will join the group and post their own Operations links.

Finish My Mafia Wars Operations (Missions)This way, as with the previously-featured Finish My Mafia Wars Operations and another open-Operations group, 5 mins Missions, you will constantly have new Operations for you to join.  With three highly-active Facebook groups devoted to Operations, you can repeatedly join new ones and pile up Operations Loot.

The Rare version Operations Loot items feature some of the highest Attack and Defense stats that you can get without spending RPs (as you can in the new Pawn Shop or at the Marketplace).

Until Italy Regions 6, 7, and 8 are released, doing more and more Operations is your best way to stock up on these top-tier items - some of which you can trade or receive in Mystery Bags.

As of this post, [MW] Operations Link Creators 2 has fewer than 100 members.  If history is any guide, that number will be over 1,000 by the end of January.

If you need a refresher on how to post your own My Mafia Operations links to get them finished, review the end of THIS POST.

Good luck with the Operations Loot!
